FaNTAstiC DaY

So do you ever have those days where you just want to go back to bed, wake up and start the day over? (I'm sure we all have) Well, today was one of those. For all intents, it didn't start off crappy, it just progressively did. I've been pretty stressed out lately- Joe's car has been in the shop for a week, and probably won't be done until Friday getting some pretty pricey repairs so I have been without a car for a while. Well, today I realized that I was out of my medicine that uh...needs to be taken every day so my mom offered to pick me up, drive me to Target and then take me back home. I was babysitting my niece, but I had her car seat so it was ok. So my mom came and we all loaded up into the car and were off. Well I get to Target and they said to come back in 10 minutes because then they were going to lunch, so we wandered the store for a few minutes, came back in about 8 and they were closed. I was sooo irritated! It was about 1:30, and my mom had to go pick up my sister from work, and be back at her house for a 2:30 appointment, she hadn’t had lunch and the pharmacy would be open at about 2:00. So we decided that we would go pick her some food up from Panda Express, go back to Target, drop me off, I would run into Target to get my prescription, we would go pick up my sister, I would drop both of them off at my mom’s house, drive to my house to be back before 3:30 for my sister in law to pick up Genavie and my mom would come to pick her car up after my brother came home from work around 5:30. Please note that the reason I didn’t just go later is that Joe doesn’t get home until around 6:15 or later, and the Target pharmacy closes on the dot at 6:00. So that wasn’t an option. So we go to Panda and they didn’t have the stuff my mom wanted and I said, “Today is just not going so great…” So she ends up getting something to eat, we go back to Target, they didn’t get there until a little after 2:00- I get the prescription, we pick up my sister, drop my mom and sister off with maybe a minute to spare and Parker, Genavie and I were off to my place. On the way back, about 2-3 miles from my moms’ place, I got a flat tire- FANTASTIC! The registration on the car expired last month so I was a little nervous, and even more fantastically I realized that I left my cell phone at home- PERFECT! So I have never changed a tire and so I got out the manual, and started to take the spare off and a police officer came up behind me and asked if I needed help. I was so grateful for the help- and that the back door of the car was up so he couldn’t see the expiration on the license plate. I was worried that I wouldn’t get home in time before Kristen came to pick her up, and she couldn’t get a hold of me, but mostly I felt REALLY bad that my mom let me barrow her car and I got a flat tire. There is a 2” slice through the side of the back passenger side tire. It is really weird because I was driving on a straight road, through a residential area, so I am not sure how it happened, I didn’t see anything in the road…. So we got the spare on- they have an SUV so it is a full size spare, but I was still careful driving home, got home with about 10 minutes to spare before Kristen came to pick up Genavie. I told my mom what happened and she said not to worry, but I still feel HORRIBLE… I hope today gets better, because I may just lock myself in a room if it keeps getting worse…
