Ok, so I finished the Breaking Dawn book- the 4th in the Twilight series for those that don't know about it (Although there probably aren't many out there that aren't familiar with it) and I really enjoyed the book. I did think that it almost ended a little quick, like it was so climactic and such a nail bitter and then it was like 3 pages left and it was done. (ok, not quite 3 pages but you get my meaning) I still loved the series and the book -- I mean I got the book from my mom on Wednesday, started reading the book yesterday, got to page 710, and then finished the book this morning. So, anyway, I can't wait for the new book, Midnight Sun to come out, that should be exciting!
***ANOTHER ADDITIONAL THOUGHT***
Ok, so probably the thing that bugged me the most on the Breaking Dawn book was what she named her daughter- Reneesmee- are you kidding me!?! I mean I know why she named her that, but sentimental doesn't always make for a great name...anyway- you that know me, know how opinionated I can be about names : )

Bad Idea?
So, Parker's birthday is coming up. I know I have only written that like a MILLION times : ) But, I have been selling some of the toys that I have gotten at garage sales to make more room, because he has a TON of toys. So, I have sold quite a few and I listed some more the other day, one of which being the Fisher Price Laugh and Learn chair. It is really cute, but he isn't terribly interested in it, other than turning the light on and off for a little while and trying to turn the hands on the back of the little clock. So, I got it for like $4.00, and have it listed for $9.00 on KSL and someone is coming on Friday to come and pick it up, and now I am having second thoughts on selling it. It is really so cute, and I don't know now that I really want to get rid of it, but it does take up a bit of room, but it is so cute and fun (at least I think so) but I guess it is a little too late... : (

Update
Well, not too much going on right now. Other than Parker has not been sleeping well for the past week or so. However, I know why, I thought it was probably because he was teething (I can't ever tell if he is or not, I kinda just guess) But, I was looking at his gums and I can see that the front top two look like they are REALLY close to coming through, so I can see why he might not be feeling so great. Other than that, we have just been watching Genavie typically on Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays. Parker is so sweet, Genavie was crying for a little bit yesterday, and Parker was trying to give her a Cheerio to help her feel better : )

Loves
It is so cute when your child learns something new- especially like smashing crackers : ) But in all seriousness, Parker has learned how to give "loves" and he loves to give them to stuffed animals, mommy and daddy. Earlier today he was playing with Ernie and he decided to give him loves- it is SOOO CUTE!!!

Yay, Parker learned something new...
So, earlier I made a blog about how much Parker loves crackers. Well, now he has learned something better to do with crackers. Instead of eating them like most would do, he likes to crush them in his hands, let the crushed cracker fall on the floor from in between his fingers and then take the crushed up crackers on the floor and drag them across the floor to make smaller crumbs... Yay! I am so glad that he learned how to do that! Thank heavens I love to vacuum : )

Adventures with babysitting
Not that it is that eventful, but yesterday I babysat for my sister in law who lives a couple of blocks away. Her regular babysitter is going back to work full time and she needs to find a new one. I offered to do a “trial run” to see if it works out for me to babysit and it also needs to work out with Parker too. It would only be for 12-20 hours a week, in the mornings and if all goes well that shouldn’t be a problem. So, yesterday was the first day and it seemed to go well. I think Parker enjoyed having a play buddy and she seemed to like the play buddy too. It was interesting to see how much older Parker seemed and there is only a 2 1/2 month difference, but I think that at that age, the differences seem bigger then when they will be older. I am going to babysit again tomorrow, so we will see how it goes : )

Watermelon
Yesterday we went to Joe's parents house for dinner and Parker was sitting in the high chair eating away at some cherios and Joe decided to give him some watermelon. He has had it before but at the time hadn't quite gotten the hang of chewing and he is doing much better at that now. So, Parker was gnawing away at his watermelon when he decided that what he had left in his hand could just be put in his mouth- and the result...
Sorry- the pictures were taken with my cell phone. I was laughing so hard- the watermelon juice was dripping down his chin. He was pretty pleased with himself too.

Yay Poop!
Ok, so to some this post maybe a little too much info or kinda icky for some, but for our little family it is a very big deal! Parker has had constipation issues since the tender age of 3 months and it has been quite the ordeal. I have done every natural possible remedy, done what the doctors have told me and it still ends in crying, screaming and a very exhausted Parker by the time he is done. Finally after talking to the doctor about this on multiple occasions and deciding that it could not go on this way I call the doctors office and my doctor was out and I talked to another one. They asked me what I was doing and when they realized that I was already doing everything that they normally recommend, the suggested that I come in that morning. Finally we were getting some where. So, I took Parker in and the doctor asked questions, etc and said that we need a little something more. He said that what happens is that the baby has 1 painful experience and associates that bad experience with each one after and so they hold on until they can't anymore and it is even worse so we need to give them "positive" experiences. Now Parker is on Miralax and it has been great! It is kinda "sad" that I get so excited every time he poops. I would rather have to give him a bath and wash his clothes than have him go through what he has. So YAY POOP I say! He has been on the Miralax for 2 weeks, about 3 more to go and hopefully we will be out of the woods!

1st Birthday
So obviously it isn't Parker's 1st birthday yet, however it is only about 1 month away. I am suddenly realizing how old he is really getting. It sounds cliche, but it seems like only yesterday that he was a newborn. They really do grow up fast. Also because his birthday is coming up, I am realizing that I need to get his birthday party all planned out. I read somewhere that the first birthday is more for the parents than the baby, and that is true to some point, I don't want to show pictures of Parker's first birthday to him and him say that he didn't get a cool party : ) We shall see how it all goes.

Vacation
So, we went on family vacation with my family up to Idaho. We went to Warm River and it is not as you would assume from the name warm in any way. Last week we bought a little trailer from 1968 for about $500.00 and it is going to be our "project trailer". We are going to end up replacing things but for as old as it is, it is in pretty great condition. It was fun to get it all ready for the trip and it was nice staying in that instead of a tent. I am not sure how Parker would do with a tent. We left on Saturday and came back on Tuesday and we had a blast. Parker was so great! He was a perfect little camper : ) We go tubing down the river and Parker went down with me about 8 times. We are getting him started early : ) We started up to Yellowstone, but realized we were only going to be able to stay for about 1 hour so we turned back. However, I can accurately say that at 11 months old, Parker has been in Idaho and Montana : ) I need to get my sisters pictures because she has more than me and then I can post the pictures from the trip.
