ChRIsTmas!

We had a WONDERFUL Christmas this year! Parker was more involved than last year (obviously) and we had a lot of fun. We stayed at my parent's house Christmas Eve and woke up with them to open presents. We later went to Joe's family's house to celebrate there too. I think that Parker had a lot of fun, but was a little cranky as he didn't sleep very well, and I think he is teething (either the molars, or canines...? I can't ever tell, he has just been more fussy lately) Anyway, you can tell that he is an only child... : ) He got quite a bit of presents, he really is a lot of fun to get things for. I will have to post some pictures later, but my present from Joe was a video camera! It is one of the Flip cameras and it is so tiny, about the size of a cell phone, but it takes HD videos, and so easy to use too. Anyway, I was totally excited because I wanted to get one to be able to take more video's, so it was so great that Joe noticed that I said that and got one for me. He is the best EVER! This was so much fun this year with our little family. I have the greatest husband ever, and the most wonderful little boy, and fantistic family!

6 Years~

This is just a quick little post. It was exactly 6 years ago that Joe proposed to me. I had been wanting him to propose for a while, and it just wasn't happening. He had gone to Mexico the week before and had only been back for 2 days. I remember telling my mom before he left that he was being "so slow!" and she just said that what ever would happen would (I later found out that before she and I had this conversation, Joe and my parents went to breakfast where he asked their "permission" to ask me to marry him) So here I was stressing out, and she already knew! Anyway, we went out to dinner at Thanksgiving Point- It was called Huckleberry's (it isn't there anymore), we then went with Joe's family on the Provo River Cruise, it was...interesting... but even more interesting is that "Santa" came up the river on his canoe and was chatting with the passengers and came up to Joe and I and asked about being proposed to, so I was totally confused, but nothing happened. We then drove up to the Mt. Timpanogos temple where we walked around outside (and it was FREEZING cold) we ended up at the front of the temple where Joe pulled a container out of his coat and said that there was another part for my car that came (for my birthday, he had gotten some really cool parts for my car) anyway, I looked at it thinking "what part of my car does this go to?" when I opened the box and realized that it wasn't a part for my car and he proposed. So cute~~~ Anyway, I am so grateful that Joe proposed and that we have been together and I love him more everyday!

In The SNOW!

I went out to shovel the driveway and walkways (whew! That is a WORKOUT!) And when I was about halfway Parker decided that he wanted to join me, so we got him all bundled up in his little snow suit and he was SO cute! He wasn't quite sure what to think of the snow because it is so cold so he just kinda walked around without doing much. He was aware of the ground being a little more slick so he would take these itty bitty steps, it was so fun.

BaBY iT's cOLd OutSiDE!

Oh my goodness! I think it is pretty safe to say that we will be having a white Christmas this year~ It has been snowing quite a bit the last 5 days or so, and today, we got a major snow hit. It is still snowing, and I think that we have probably gotten about 6 inches of snow today at least. I would like to have a super cute picture of Parker in the snow, or in his snow suit... but he doesn't like the snow. I try to get him to touch the snowball in my hand but he just shakes his head no... so I can show you what it looks like from out windows.

Present Wrapping

The other night Joe and Parker were wrapping a present for me and Joe was having Parker help. I got a few shots, and it was so cute. Parker drew on my present with a orange sharpie marker. He was getting pretty into it.

Almost Christmas!

So, I think we are all ready... hopefully... I made my list, and checked it twice, and it looks like it is all there and good. I didn't want to have to do any shopping the week of Christmas, it is always ridiculously crazy. My friend that had the BusyMommy Christmas giveaway listed all of the winners and I won a prize! Well, it is for Parker but that works! It just arrived in time for Christmas. It is the Radio Flyer Turbo Turtle scooter. It is really cute and I think that Parker should really like it. It should be a lot of fun! We are going to my parents house this year- we alternate years- last year was at Joe's, this year is at my parent's. They live about 10 miles away, but we will sleep overnight there so we don't have to try and drive over early in the morning.

On another side note, after watching the Twilight movie, which the more I think about it, the more I liked the movie. Anyway, I wanted to read all the books again, so I did- it took me about 6 days to read all 4 books (and no, I did not ignore my child : ) I just read them while I would dry my hair in the morning, and while Parker was taking his naps-- after the house was cleaned) The books are so great! And even after watching the movie and reading the books again, I didn't picture Robert Pattinson as Edward- I still "pictured" him the same way. I know that some don't like who the picked for the characters, and I didn't initially like who they picked, but then I started liking the cast more and more. I also realized that the casting people probably had a pretty hard job, especially for Edward, to pick the perfect actor. I mean there are probably a gazillion ideas as to how he looks in every ones mind, so I thought that they did a good job. Anyway, I can't wait for the next one to come out, and I will definitely get the Twilight on DVD. So that's what has been going one... Anyway, I will have to post some more pictures, Joe and Parker wrapped my present (I don't know what it is cause it was in a box) but I got some pictures of them wrapping together, and it is pretty cute.

HiLArioUS!!

Isn't this the truth?!?!? Joe and I were reading a few of Parker's books- like Spot the Dog- the pictures aren't even that "good". Anyway, I think that Brian Regan is so funny- and he is usually really clean too.

Christmas Cards

Ok, so we'd like to give Christmas cards to everyone, however, Snapfish was having a super good deal where you could get 20 cards for .20 so that is how many I got, otherwise, in general, the photo Christmas cards can get kinda pricey, and I have to get the photo cards to show off my super cute family : ) So, for those that I am super sorry didn't get a card (went to family first : ) Here is a special blog Christmas card for you. It looks the exact same as the ones that I sent out. Anyway- I though it turned out pretty cute myself!

Handy Little Skills

There are certain things in a little boy's life that are vital to him growing up-

Learning to unscrew lids- Let me tell you how handy this skill is- Example- he can now unscrew the lid off of his bottle and dump the milk everywhere...

Another handy skill- being able to turn the dishwasher off. Parker can reach up and push on the "lock" on the dishwasher so that it can stop the cycle on the dishwasher. This is especially handy. It is nice to think that the dishwasher will just do its thing only to find out that Parker pushed on the lock hours earlier and the dishes have just been sitting there.
Anyway, these are vital skills that Parker has already learned how to do. Fantastic!

15 Months Old!

Parker had his 15 month checkup yesterday and here are his stats-

22 lbs 12 ounces- 26th percentile

16.8" Head Circumference- 80th percentile

33.25" long- 95th percentile

He went from the 75th percentile at his 12 month check up to 95th percentile for height- He was kinda wiggly when they were measuring him so I am not sure that he has really grown that much. It means that he grew about 3 inches since his last checkup. I mean I know he is tall- I get comments a lot on that, but I don't know he is THAT tall. Anyway, he is doing well in everything- he doesn't say much, but he knows exactly what you are talking about and where things are. He has waved goodbye for a while, but now he is just using his hand to say bye instead of his whole arm. If you are in a room and he is going to go into another room, he has to wave bye before he will leave- it is so cute and funny! He is walking crazy good- and getting a lot faster, almost running. He likes to "walk" down the stairs, he will place his hands along the wall and go down, he doesn't really like going backwards anymore. It amazes me how much he is changing and growing. He is my sweetest loving little boy and I am so grateful that I have been blessed with such a little boy in my life.

~M~I~L~E~S~T~O~N~E~

Today we had a new milestone. My mom and I went to Olive Garden for lunch and Parker got his own kids menu with crayons! He was so excited! He colored using his red and orange crayons and would hand me the crayon he wasn't using when he was done. He also got his own kids cup with a straw- which he didn't really use- he hasn't quite gotten the hang of using a straw. After he was done he was playing peek-a-boo with my mom. He would hold the appetizer menu up to his face and then he would put it down so we could see his face. It was SOOOO cute, and he was so proud of himself. He loves peek-a-boo : ) Crazy how fast they change and grow- I don't think I am ready...

So sWeEt

The other night Parker was in such a playful mood, and having fun so we got a few cute shots. Also there is a video where he is super cute, and I am trying to get him to point to his nose- he is really good at it, I guess he is just proving to me that he is not a performing monkey : )

Christmas Time!

LaUGhTeR...

Is the best medicine~ I think that Parker has the CUTEST laugh- well, I actually think that everything about him is the cutest ever- and NO I am not biased- it just is that way. Anyway, the other night I was playing a version of Peek-a-Boo while he was in his high chair and he was just laughing hysterically. It was SO cute that I had to share.
