More Updates

So, we now have power in the basement- AWESOME! And I think it looks so cool down there. What we have left to do is the rest of the trim (hopefully I don't have to paint anymore trim- I have done about 40 pieces of trim- and about 30 have had to be painted twice, and 10- 3 times because they had to be primed first- so about 90 times I have painted trim- I am a little over it to say the least :) Anyway, so trim, touch ups- baseboards and walls, and caulking- and then carpet, so in theory there is not much left to do- the carpet is scheduled to be installed a week from Friday and I am looking forward to it because everything else should be done before. Whew, I am feeling so exhausted getting all this done, and then there is her room to do and decorate and we are down to the single digits left in weeks before she is due. AHHHH!!! So, onto pictures- 

Parker loves getting his picture taken, and provided he isn't jumping or moving, we can get some cute pictures :)

I LOVE the feel of the room- it is exactly what I wanted, it feels warm and cozy in the room. I was a little nervous because the the majority of the walls are gray and that can make a room feel cold, but it is so comforting in that room. *sign* not too much longer....

New Floor

Well, not all of the basement, but some of it- We had the wood flooring installed and it is SOOO GORGEOUS! I {heart} it! It is Brazilian Pecan wood and it looks so beautiful! Mind you at this point, I haven't cleaned it (have to get some special stuff, this is the real hardwood, not laminate) but it is SO beautiful!

Little Green Dragon

Fell asleep on his Parker's bed. Parker LOVES wearing his Halloween costume, and he hasn't been feeling too great lately, so he has actually been taking some naps. 

Paint

So we are closing in on being done with paint (thank heavens, I am so done with painting- I dream about painting and then I wake up and have to paint) So we just have to do all the trim (including doors- which are SO time consuming) and touch ups, which are many- mainly where the colors change- so hopefully by mid next week we will be done with the paint- the wood flooring is supposed to be installed on Tuesday so I am getting all the trim and door done over there first. But here are some pictures of the paint so far, mind you the touch ups have not really been done. (sadly...)

More Progress

So, the basement has been all primed, and we did the first coat of the main color on Saturday and Sunday morning, after it had dried we decided we hated the color, so we chose another color but for Monday and tonight we painted the accent wall color, it is an orange color and we are really liking it. I will take pictures once the lighting is better and it is dry, so tomorrow we are planning on doing the first coat of the new main color- we are keeping our fingers crossed we like it :) But here are some pictures of the room all primed, it looks so cool down there! I can see a light at the end of the tunnel :)

Lately that is what Parker has been asking me to do- he loved to get his picture taken and then look on the back of the camera to see what the picture looks like- he is such a silly boy! Here are some recent ones taken- he likes to sit in the office (future baby room) and "pose"

UpDaTe

We have been super busy lately working on the basement, getting things ready and just living life, but here are a few pictures to show our updates- YAY- the basement has been mudded, taped and textured- and it looks awesome! It looks so much better- just really finishes it- next is on to paint, and then flooring and trim, oh, and the electrician needs to come and finish up to, but in theory, that is all that is left- so it is quite exciting- we are planning on starting the painting this weekend.

Oh, and I should probably post a pic of me since I haven't- in a while- so here is me at 27 weeks, Joe was being goofy and this was the last picture so, it's ok- she is moving and growing and it is crazy that she will be here in a VERY SHORT 12 1/2 weeks.
