So Tender

I just had to make a note of this because it truly shows what a wonderful little boy Parker is. Earlier tonight I was feeling quite sad and Parker came up and just gave me a huge hug and kept saying "Ok, mama, ok" and just kept hugging me. Then he got down off my lap, and was saying something and said "Be Back" and off he ran, then he came back with his little square of toilet paper to help wipe the tears. Wow! What an absolutely amazing moment. He is so sweet and so wonderful, sometimes I don't feel I deserve such a wonderful boy, but I am so very grateful that he is mine.

Parker's New Cell Phone

Parker found a light that Joe got at DI's, apparently it isn't a light, it is a phone. Parker picked it up and started saying "Hewow, Hewow"

Silly Boy

The other day Parker was just being so silly, so we got some shots.

He does this sometimes when you say smile, he likes to be silly.

And who doesn't want to climb in the blocks box? He was in there for QUITE a while.

A Phone Conversation

I was over at my mom's house the other day to get a  massage (Oh, it is SO wonderful to have a mom who is a massage therapist- and she is EXCELLENT at that) Anyway, my phone rang so I went over to pick it up, noticed that it was my brother Michael- who was downstairs, but I answered it anyway :)

Me: Hello?
Voice on the other end: Hi.
Me (after realizing it was Parker): Hey baby, how are you doing?
Parker: Good, you doing?
Me: Good, Are you playing with Michael?
Parker: Yes, Michael, Jumping Beanbag.
Me: Oh good, are you having fun?
Parker: Parker, Yes fun.
Me: Oh good, well, I'd better go and let you play with Michael.
Parker: Play with Michael.
Me: Ok, well I love you Parker.
Parker: Wuv you too Momma.
Me: Bye.
Parker: Bye.

The end.

View

We went off roading with Joe's brother and friend and went out past Saratoga Springs on the other side of Utah Lake. As we got to the highest point while driving we decided to take a view pictures. This was with Joe's phone. It is a beautiful view, and it shows the wonderful air that we are having right now too. Kinda makes you want to go to the top of the mountains maybe a little more. :)

Flashback

As I was looking at my Photobucket account and came across this video I will admit, it was emotional- looking back you forget even already how much they change. He was (and is) such a cutie!

Santa

So, I didn't think we had any pictures of Parker with Santa last year (seems weird to say that) Anyway, Joe took the pictures off his phone and he had some from our ward Christmas party. See the progression

Somewhat in shock as to what is happening.

Now, realizes he is on some strange large guy's lap and is NOT ok with it- Don't mind me, I am just in the corner laughing.

Trying to make him happy- not working, this was taken about 4 seconds before I took him off the scary guy's lap.
Maybe next year will be better... :)

Update

It has been a little bit since I last posted, so just as an update, we are still here :) We have just been doing our thing at home mostly, since honestly, it still just feels super cold outside. Parker now has a new obsession- Cars- the movie, the cars, coloring books, ANYTHING that is Cars related. He will sit through the entire 116 minute show and then get upset when it is over because he wants to watch it again. He is so silly! Also, if you have a pencil, it apparently belongs over your ear- why- not quite sure on that one...

Christmas!

We had a wonderful Christmas this year- aside from the fact that Parker didn't go to sleep until somewhere around 3:30-4am on Christmas morning, and then we woke up at 6 to open presents... That part was quite delightful... We stayed overnight at Joe's parents house along with most of his brothers and sisters and their families. There were 2 grandkids including Parker. After the presents were opened there, we went over to my family's house to open presents there, we then went back to Joe's family's for lunch and at that point Parker (surprise) and Joe (surprise) and myself (surprise) were feeling super tired so we went back up to my family's house where I figured, if at the very least Parker didn't fall asleep, Joe and I could and have others to watch Parker. Well, Parker fell asleep on the way there (about a 10 minute drive) and so he and Joe crashed in my sisters room and I hung out with my family. We had a lot of fun and eventually came home where we all went to sleep around 9:30 and Parker slept in til 8:30 (I think he was secretly trying to make up for the other night...) Anyway, we loved spending the time with our families, got some fantastic gifts, Parker probably too many : ) (Joe got him about 300 matchbox cars, and up to that point, that was the ONLY gift Parker was excited about- Thanks Joe! You saved the morning :)

Parker's face as he sees the cars.

Showing me one of the cars. Sorry for the blurry hand, and the snotty nose- it was the best we could do early in the morning.

Looking at all of his cars.

With Grandma at my mom's house- He was her little shadow while opening presents there.

Action shot- opening the presents.

He got some dinosaurs and he was so gentle with them. LOVE this shot!

A smile as big as he could muster that morning.

Same here, looking at another one of his dinosaurs. He would after opening each present say "Daddy Open? "
Another one of the presents which he got from my grandma is one of the little fur real puppies and he is just so gentle with that little puppy. He shows it things, and tells him the name of things. SO CUTE!
He was showing the puppy some of his new cars.

Giving the puppy loves (ignore that it is upside down... :)

More loves, sorry that it is blurry...

Temple Square and Trains

We went with my family to Temple Square last night and we rode the Trax up there. Parker was so excited to ride the train! We saw all the Christmas lights, and Parker LOVED it!
