Santa

So, Parker has been so into Santa this year, because he really wants a jeep- a big remote control jeep. So, we told him that he needed to ask Santa, and we actually saw Santa at Macey's and Parker told him he wanted a jeep and he was a really nice Santa and Parker was so excited to have seen him. Well, I decided to take him to Thanksgiving Point where I was told that they had a really good Santa and it was $2.00 for a picture with him and it should be a good experience. So, I got there just a little before 6- (it was a 6-8 thing) and the line didn't look too bad, til you got to the actual room and then the line was a lot longer looking. Mind you Parker wanted me to hold him the entire time, so here I am 11 days away from my due date, holding my 3 year old for 50 minutes in line- But he was all excited so it was ok, I did have to set him down a couple of times, but basically held him the whole time. Anyway, we get up there and we are waiting for our turn, Parker is all excited (once he noted that he didn't like this Santa cause he didn't have a hat, but I told him that the hat was too hot and his head needed to cool off, and that seemed to work) so the lady was asking Parker if he was going to tell Santa what he wanted and he was all, ya, a jeep, etc so we go up to see Santa and Parker FREAKS out. He starts crying, backing away, etc. It was awful, and part of me was like I waited in line for THIS?!? So I am trying to help console Parker, get him to talk to Santa, and Santa was really nice and I mentioned a jeep, and so Santa was like, we make lots of jeeps, what color do you want? And Parker said through the tears- Red, and we took a picture, which mind you I was NOT planning in being so I looked quite awful, Parker is clinging on to me for dear life and the only one who looks good in the picture is Santa, so no, I will NOT be showing that picture. :) Then it was time to go, Parker said Bye, and he was fine after that. So, we went outside where they had some of Santa's reindeer and Parker was all smiles for the camera.

August Cont...

So, more pictures from August! Yay! I took a lot and blogged very little-

Got sheetrock for the basement- Parker was SOOO fascinated by the truck that brought the sheetrock
Justin the guy that brought the sheetrock (He is in YM with Joe)
let Parker (with help from Joe) drive the forklift part- Parker doesn't show it but he LOVED it and kept talking about it afterwards
I think Joe liked it too :)

Yay for Sheetrock and the price paid :)
Parker with his gloves and his rock
Last time at the $2.00 Tuesday at Thanksgiving Point- Guess where we went- The farm!

Parker got to ride the BIG horse
The Super cute baby cow!
We had so much fun on our outings! Parker loved to tell his daddy when he got home what we have been doing during the days. Lately it has been calling and picking up materials, etc for the basement, but we are getting ready to insulate and on Monday start sheetrocking!!

August

WOW! Is it really the end of August already?!?! Where did the time go- it seems like time is flying lately, especially with this little girl coming and all of the work that needs to be done before she gets here- like finish the basement and then complete her room, just to name a couple of the things on the list of like a hundred. So here is what has been going on~

Thanksgiving Point Gardens- We went with Grandma Twyman, Aunt Kristen, Genavie and Mason, and Aunt Eliza and Della

Finished the bathroom! We will eventually get a nicer mirror and we are still getting the shower curtain and towels, but the majority is DONE!

More Thanksgiving Point Gardens!

Thanksgiving Point

We went to Thanksgiving Point Farm Country for their $2.00 Tuesdays yesterday- we didn't last week because that was when we started potty training, but since that is on hold.... we went to Thanksgiving Point instead :) Much more fun- yes, much more fun. We got there when it opened and there was a line to get in, but not too bad, and the wait for the pony ride was about 25 minutes, but compared to last year, that was MUCH better. Parker LOVED riding the pony last year, but this year he rode it all by himself with OUT me walking along side and he was in heaven!  He actually reached down and pet the pony and he was just so excited. Afterwards he loved telling me that he rode the pony all by himself. He also LOVED feeding the goats and also unlike last year when I bought the corn to feed the goats and Parker fed all of one goat leaving me with a bunch of corn, the corn this year was completely gone and given out by Parker, he was so excited to feed them.
Waiting in line to ride the pony.
More Waiting.
I thought that the last rule was AwEsOmE!
Really- Adults- we should not be fighting over a pony ride... :)
Look how happy!!!
Riding all by himself.
Reaching down to pet the horse.

Looking at the baby cow.
Smile face...
Playing in the little houses.
Parker LOVED the baby goats- there were 3!!
We had so much fun at the farm! We look forward to going and spending some extra special mommy- Parker time.
