Ok, I changed my mind on the blog name. I decided that I didn't like It's a Coupon Life, and switched over to Deal Finding Momma, you can check it out here. Why "momma" you might ask- well, Mommy was taken :)

New Site & Going Private?

Ok, so I have decided that since I seem to not have enough on my plate, I am going to do a seperate blog that has strictly my deals posts. I will still write for LowBuyLehi, but this blog will just be the personals ins and outs of the family while the other blog will be strictly my pics of deals and such. I am debating going private. Let me know what you think on that, if it is a good idea or not, or if I do, if you want to be invited so I can see what I need to do. The new site is It's a Coupon Life

WeeKLy DeALs

Ok, so I haven't posted deals for a little bit, and so here are the most recent ones.
WalGreens

~Total Spent OOP- $1.52 ( I used $10.00 in register rewards from last week) But I got $13.00 in register rewards, Total Saved $39.37- Basically what I paid for was tax, my subtotals on everything was either .01 or .00.

Wal-Mart

~I got 4 AirWick I-Motion Compacts and 3 Airwick I-Motion Scent Oils - Total Spent OOP $8.04, Total Saved $61.89

Albertsons, Smiths, and Rite Aid

~At Albertson's I got the 12 cans of Campbells' soup- Select Harvest and Chunky- Total Spent OOP $7.45, Total Saved 28.88, PLUS I got a $5.00 Catalina coupon for next time.

~At Smiths I got 12 boxes of Jello/ Pudding (these are the BIG boxes) 4 boxes of Kraft Deluxe Mac& Cheese and Velveeta Shells, 4 Boxes of Wheat Thins, 2 Kraft BBQ Sauce, 2 boxes of Golden Grahams, and 2 boxes of Kix- Total Spent OOP $12.90, total Saved $34.29. ( Had I had Golden Grahams coupons, I would have saved more, but aside from those I had a coupon for Every Single item there) PLUS Parker got an adorable cute little stuffed dog that the manager gave him because he was being a little fussy, they lost the box that had them in it, found them, couldn't sell them so she asked if it was ok for Parker to have it and he was a happy boy the rest of the shopping trip :)

Then at Rite Aid- (I will post a real picture when I exchange them) But there was a super good deal going on for the Huggies Diapers, but all the Rite Aids in I swear all of Utah was out, and they weren't going to get any more til a week from Saturday (after the deal and rebate were over) but the Rite Aid off 1600 N. was substituting the Rite Aid Diapers, using the price of the Huggies and when the Huggies came in you would exchange the Rite Aid Diapers for the Huggies. That is the story in a nut shell, but basically the diapers were on sale for 3/$33 for the Jumbo Pure and Natural, but then I had $3.00 off Manufac. coupons, $2.00 off Rite aid coupons, and $5.00/ $20.00 coupon, so I did this transaction twice, 3 packs of Diapers, $9.00 manufac coupon, $6.00 Rite Aid Diaper coupon, but then I had the $5.00 off $20.00 purchase (which is before coupons) so I spent $14.92 for the 3 packs of diapers, but then I get a $10.00 Mail in Rebate back, which makes the diapers $1.64 a PACK! HOLY CRAZY DIAPER DEAL, also on one of the transactions I got 2 Clean and Clear Items, and they paid me .50 for each one :) on sale for $4.50 each had 2 $2.00 Manufac coupons, and 2 $3.00 Rite Aid coupons. PLUS I get to submit my receipts for their Fall Gift of Savings and get a $10.00 Rite Aid Gift Certificate, so they are basically paying me for the stuff. Not too Shabby :) , Oh ya, total saved $74.12 (after figuring in the rebates, but not the gift card)
~So all in all, I spent $58.11, I saved $199.20, plus I got a $5.00 Catalina coupon, $13.00 in Register Rewards, and should be getting a $10.00 Rite Aid Gift Certificate.

More DeaLs

So, I had to run some errands this morning, and this is what I got.

At Target, I got 5 Boxes of Fiber One Cereal, 2 Glade Scented Oil Candles, and 2 Refil Packs. Total Spent OOP- .17 - yep, I used a $5.00 Gift Card from last week, so I only paid .17 AND I got a $5.00 Gift Card for the Fiber One Stuff. Total Saved $31.24

Then At Walmart, I got the 3 AirWick IMotion Scented Oil PlugIns- Total Spent $3.41 Which is more than I would normally spend, but I saved$24.57, so not too bad. I also got at the AF Wal-Mart-2 Glade Sense and Sprays- and 2 Gallons of Milk, total OOP .43 - Total Saved 14.55- Ironically not the best as far as saving amount, but one of the least OOP.

Smiths~ I got 2 Hefty Bags, and a Lindt Truffle (for PARKER- NOT me) Total Spent OOP .39- total saved $6.26- savings of 96% which is good, but actually I didn't spend that much, so whatever...

Last Trip was Albertsons- I haven't gone there as much, I have not been as excited about the sales, especially since Utah is getting the shaft on double coupons. I understand that they have been bought out, but the transition hasn't happened, it is like it is dying a sad, slow death... Anyhoo, back to what I got I got 3 Dannon Activia yogurts, 1 Dannon Lite and Fit, and 4 single Lite and Fit yogurts, total spent OOP 3.49- Total Saved $13.61 plus I got a coupon for $3.00 off any Downy Liquid- YAY! I am running low...

So, all said and done, I spent $7.89- saved $90.23, and got a $5.00 Gift Card, not too bad~

A Couple MoRe DeaLs

Here are a couple more deals from last week. First was a Smiths Deals- When you bought 10 items, you got $5.00 off- so essentially .50 off per item. So I got 16 (total)Pillsbury Grands Rolls/ Crescent Rolls, Cinnamon Rolls, and 4 Green Giant Steamers and the total was about $10.74- Without Sales and Coupons would have spent about $49.00- so saved almost $40.00. Not too shabby. Sorry for the dark picture, and imagine 2 more biscuits (they popped open in the car- scared the crap out of me, and we had biscuits for dinner :)

The next Deal was at Wal-Mart- I got 3 Welch's Juice, 1 Gallon of Milk, 3 Season All Salts, 1 Yoplait Delight and 2 Glade Sense and Spray and the total was $3.45 after coupons. The Glade alone at Walgreens, is on sale for 5.99-- and I got 2 plus the rest for about half of that.

Deals

Here are some deals from the week, the first is from Target-

I got 3 Gerber bottles, 1 baby toothpaste, 2 Boston Simplus Contact Solution, 3 Kotex Liners, 2 Pampers Kandoo wipes, 2 Wonka Gummies and 1 size 4 pack of Huggies Diapers. Total Spent OOP- $16.01 Total saved- $24.00- Now this is more then I would regularly spend, however, the bottles were free, the kotex were free, the wipes were .24 each, the diapers were $5.50, the gummies were .59 each, the toothpaste was 1.62 and the contact solution was $5.58- that was a deal, I normally get Joe's contact solution at Costco and it is $16.00 for 2, where was this made it $11.00 for 2, plus 2 small containers came with it to, so if you took off that I would have spent like $5.00 for everthing else, which is a KILLER deal.

Now, I got the next deals at Walgreens, (and Target) this was done in multiple transactions and the transactions really can keep going until Saturday.

I got 1 Rembrant toothpaste for $5.00 (which in my opinion is way too expensive for toothpaste) BUT you got a $5.00 Register reward, which I then used to get the Carefree Lines, and Colgate toothpaste- $1.99 & 2.99- I had to have a small filler (hence the carmels) to put the total over $5.00 before taxes, and used my $5.00 from the toothpaste to pay for that so I paid like $.45 OOP, BUT then I got $2.00 & $3.00 register rewards from the liner and toothbrush, which I then used to get another Rembrant toothpaste, which getting the $5.00 I then used to get the liners, and toothbrush, which I then got (You get the picture right?!?!) So really I can just keep doing it (if the stores had the toothbrushes- those are hard to find) and I will still end up with $5.00 - and a couple times I had extra coupons, so I got the toothpaste (which with the coupon was free) and the kids activity book (filler because of coupons) the book is cheesey, but it has more coupons in it. So as of yet I have spent about $8.00 after taxes on all of it, would have spent about $47.00 and I still have $5.00 to spend! The other deal from the picture is more of the Special K Target Deal- I bought 4 special K products, after coupons spent $3.20- and got a $5.00 Target gift card (I actually used the gift card from the previous special K deal) so all total today I spent about $8.00 OOP have $10.00 in "gift cards" and $1.70 left on the other card.

At Walmart I got 3 10 Oz. Glade Soy Candles, 4 Boxes Quaker Instant Oatmeal, 5 Boxes Quaker Granola Bars, 2 Scented Oil Refils, 2 Morton Season All Seasonings and 1 Gallon Milk- Total Spent OOP- $10.52- Total Saved- $46.21
At Smiths I got 7 boxes of Quaker True Delights Granola Bars (the fancy kind that Joe likes... :) 4 Pillsbury Grand Biscuits, and 2 Goldfish Crackers-
Total Spent OOP $12.15- Total Saved $25.78
If anyone wants to know how I got the deals, just leave a comment, otherwise I am worried that the post is too long.

BabY DeALs

Lets see, I got 4 packs of wipes from Walgreens, and 3 Dawn Dish Soaps (not quite baby) and my total was $1.01- .38 with .63 tax- I used my $5.00 register rewards from last baby wipe purchase. At Target I got 4 Boost Kid Essentials, 1 lb bananas 6 Aveeno Baby lotions, and 8 Johnson's baby wash. I prefer the Aveeno lotion, but I like the Johnsons baby wash fine. Total OOP- $13.95 - More than I typially spend on baby stuff at any given time. Basically I paid for the lotions, body washes, and the Boost. The Boost alone it usually $9.99 each, the lotions $4.00 each, so if I had not shopped the sales, and coupons I would have spent about $100.00- but instead I spent $14.00- Not too shabby! Also, a deal after this initial post- I got 2 24 count bottles of Tylenol 8 hour for .79- Saved $11.49 on that alone at Walgreen's so all in all- I would have spent about $108- instead I spent 14.75
*************************************
Also, just as a note- my sister in law asked about where I get my coupons- I get one newspaper delivered, my grandma gives me the coupons from her papers- so I get 3 sets of coupons, but then I do use a lot of internet printable ones also- like the coupons for the Aveeno, Boost, and Johnson's products were all internet printable.

NeW DeALs

Here is one of the deals that I got just yesterday from Walgreens- I got 9 packs of Huggies wipes, and I paid $3.30- PLUS I got $5.00 in register rewards so it is like they paid ME for the wipes. What I did is until Saturday they were having a deal that if you spend $25.00 (BEFORE coupons) you get a 5.00 register reward. So, getting 9 packs of wipes put me at $25.11- I then used 3 .50 Manufactures coupons, and then a $2.00 Walgreens coupon- the fantastic thing about the Walgreens coupon, is you only have to give one, and it will take $2.00 off EACH pack. So that took off $18.00 bringing my total down to $7.70- I had a $4.00 register reward from previous, so I gave them that needing to only pay $3.30 out of pocket- ironically, the wipes themselves only cost $1.61, and the tax was $1.68...

Now this is a GREAT deal that I got at Target. I love when stores let you stack coupons! Now, I had like 50 (well, not 50, but probably like 10) B1G1 free coupons for the glade fabric and air fresheners, and when I go to the store I always take my coupons. But I actually went in there just to get the door knob covers for Parker's room. The door knob covers were on a price cut from like $4.50, down to $2.99, so I got those, then as always I browsed the aisles, and found the Glade stuff with $2.00 off Target coupons, so I got 6 of those, used the 6 coupons on them, and 3 B1G1 coupons. They were $3.49 each so my total was 20.94 (just on the Glade) I had $12.00 in Target coupons and $10.47 in Manufactures coupons- giving me an overage of $1.53- so my total after everything and tax was $2.24- Less than the door knob covers alone, and that is even including tax.

yes, there is an AND
I will get at least $10.00 back in rebates- possibly even more! Now that is a fantastic deal!

-Deals-Deals-Deals-

Ok, so I love using coupons, I know~ I have said this many times before, but it is true~ This week at Smiths they would double your coupons with NO limit as to how many coupons you could use. FANTASTIC! The only issue I ran into is that they didn't have all the items that I wanted to use coupons for, I will have to see if I can get a raincheck and see what they say about the double part of it. So here is my transactions at Smiths

Sorry for two pictures, but I forgot to put the soup and yogurt with the picture. So I got all of this for $16.00- 3 pizzas, 12 Hamburger Helpers, 4 Campbell soups, 2 yogurt, 3 toothpastes, 3 Nut Clusters, 4 chilies, 1 Ajax, 2 jars of pickles, 3 tornados taquito things, 3 salad dressings, 2 softsoaps. I think that is everything. All in all, between the "Fresh Values" and coupons, and doubles I saved about $70.00 or about 89%- I feel good about that : )

Now, it is summer and what is so great in the summer (especially) Ice Cream- That's right- it is yummy- don't take my word for it, just ask Parker : ) Here is a deal I got at Albertson's

I got 14 pints of Breyers Ice Cream, 6 little baby cups of Haagen Daz Ice Cream, 4 Klondike products (I originally had 2 Choco Tacos : ) and random to the post but 2 packs of Buitoni fresh pasta and it cost-
(drum roll please)
$2.79
Yep, and I even got another catalina coupon for $4.00 off when you buy any breyers, klondike etc product. And if I buy 5 more, I will get another coupon - it is like a circle, it doesn't seem to actually end. : ) Anyway, I still have to go to Smiths and Albertson's tomorrow, and possible Thanksgiving Point for their $2.00 Tuesdays, and babysit my niece. It will be a crazy day.

MoRe DeALs

Here are some more deals I got this week- It was from Target and Albertson's (and on a super sad note- Associated Food Store is buying out almost all the Albertson's in Utah, so no more double the coupons, and Catalina coupons- this TOTALLY sucks!) Anyhoo, here is from some deals I got at Albertson's -

For all of this, I spent $2.95- now can you see why I am bummed that Albertson's isn't going to be around?!?

Then at Target I got all of this-
And I spent about $6.90- Not too shabby right?!
Anyway, these are some of the good deals so far. I love saving money~ (of course, who doesn't?!?)

Thursday, July 9, 2009

WhAt A dEaL

.78 is what I paid for all this - not too shabby! Plus, I even got $2.00 in catalina coupons to use next time at Albertsons.

CouPonS

I LOVE saving money with coupons! I get such a thrill from saving money that maybe some might think it is kinda sad, but I think it is super cool. Here are some of the recent deals I have gotten. Now, I am not into Kashi normally, because it is really pricey, but here is what I got from Target using Manufacturers coupons and stacking with Target coupons. I spent a grand total of...
$3.18- That's right folks! 4 boxes of cereal, 2 boxes of waffles, and 2 boxes of cereal bars. Not too shabby right?!
Here is my recent Albertson's deals- now I got this in a few trips, not just one.
4 boxes of Pizza (for those nights I am just ReALlY not in the mood to cook) 12 jars of Skippy peanut butter, 2 V-8 Splash juices, 2 jars of Litehouse salad dressing, 3 packs of Oreos, 2 Eggo twists, 1 sausage, 3 Taco Bell refried beans, 2 Kraft salad dressings, 4 boxes Kraft Macaroni & Cheese, 2 Wholly Guacamole (I know there is only 1 in the picture, but I am currently eating the other one : ) 1 Taco bell sauce, and 1 gallon of whole milk. Plus, not pictured 2 lbs of hand trimmed boneless skinless chicken breast, and 1 red pepper. I think that is everything and it cost $33.02- PLUS I got 4 $1.00 ONYP Catalina coupons. WHAT a DEAL! Some items were more of a deal than others, but either way, I NEVER pay full price for anything, and typically aside from produce and milk, I have a coupon for everything I get. I love getting good deals, and think it is cool when I get comments on what I paid for what I am getting. Anyway, this is just a couple of the super good deals I have gotten recently.

CoUpOnS

Yay for coupons! I have always wanted to be one of those super cool great saving coupon clippers but until recently no such luck or deep down motivation. Now, I am not saying that I am a super cool great saving coupon clipper, but I'd like to think I did pretty good! (yes, I will admit that I wanted to pat myself on the back, but I had Parker do it for me : )
Guess how much it cost~

I have 4 Kraft salad dressings. 4 Kraft BBQ Sauces, 4 Cool Whips, 2 Kraft Singles, 2 Cream Cheese, 2 Frostings, 2 A1 Steak Sauce, 1 Ritz Crackers, 1 Cakesters, 1 Cookie Mix, 1 Cereal, 1 Milk, 1 Yoplait Yogurt, 1 Green Giant Steamers 1 8 oz Shredded Cheese, 1 Kraft Mayo,1 Kraft Miracle Whip, 1 16 oz sliced turkey, and 1 Glade Lasting Impressions plug in.

Now you think I am going to tell you, well, I'd rather have you guess first, and then on Thursday, I'll tell you how much I spent on this. Now on another trip I got the stuff below. Now I spent more in comparison to what I did spend above, but lets be fair, cleaning products cost more than food typically, so I spent about $15.00 for what is below, but I have 3 infant Ibuprofen (and those are like typically $4.00 each- so that in and of itself is a deal) I got the Mr. Clean B1G1 free, for the cleaners, and also for the magic erasers, the Glade Air Effects were B1G1 free, plus I had 2 Target $2.00 each coupons, so it made them owe me .14 cents.

Anyway, I am pleased with the deals I have gotten and love to share with Joe, and my mom the great deals I have gotten. Oh, and I guess I am sharing with you too : )
