Our basement is ALMOST finished being sheetrocked- (thank heavens!) We are going to finish the rest of the main area today and then after we have a plumber come in the bathroom then we will finish the bathroom- then it will need to be mud and taped (and textured) but we are hopefully going to find someone to hire to do that- it is a ridiculously messy and time consuming project- then we will need to paint, do the trim and then have the electrician come finish up and then do the flooring- so when you put it that way, it doesn't seem like there is really that much left to do... :) But here are some pictures of the progress~
The black is the soundproofing stuff- Pain in the butt to have to sheetrock over- and poor Joe had the painful job of having to hang it on the ceiling- 
Oh, almost done! The only stuff left to do in the family room is to sheetrock inside the window frame
