Proud!

Ok, there are are few things that I am very proud of right now-
1st- Parker has slept in his own bed the last couple of nights while Joe has been away- I did not succumb and bring him into bed with me.
2nd- on the same note - Parker has been doing extremely well in sleeping through the night, and in his own bed. He has had a couple of rough nights, but overall I am very pleased and grateful that he sleeps well, and in his own bed.
3rd- Parker can sip a straw very well, in fact, aside from the bottle for a nap and bed, he prefers to use a straw- we are still working on the cup, but the straw seems like it would be tricky and he does is very well.
4th- Parker shakes his head "No" and it is very funny, especially if he REALLY doesn't want to do or want something, the shaking is quite adamant. It is funny!
5th- Parker LOVES to push the cart around the store. Even if the cart is loaded up with groceries, he will still push that cart around. You do have to be careful to help him steer, and make sure that he doesn't run off while you are pushing the cart (been there, done that : )
Anyway, these are a few things that I am proud of (and some in a funny way)

Great Giveaway! Mom's Into Fitness

So for those that don't know, I really enjoy doing the Moms into Fitness- Lindsay Brin's postnatal bootcamp DVD- I actually wrote a review on it for a friends site (you can see the review here) Anyway, now they are doing another giveaway for the Complete Pregnancy Fitness Program (no! I am not implying anything) I just figure that sooner rather than later I will need this and I would LOVE (I mean absolutely LOVE) to win this! Moms into Fitness have fitness DVD's designed for women, and mommy's who don't have tons of time time to workout and they give them great, quick, EFFECTIVE programs to help you get into shape, and for the pregnancy DVD's- help KEEP you in shape. I exercised while pregnant with Parker up til about the 8th month, and it helped TREMENDOUSLY- now that I have Parker- for the next baby, I don't exactly foresee myself being about to go to the gym for an hour a day, now Moms into Fitness have a program that I could do at home.

Good-Bye Daddy...

We just dropped Joe off at the airport today. He is going to be gone to Mexico until Friday. We are not very excited about this, but it has to be done, so at least now we won't have to keep waiting for him to leave, now we just have to wait for him to come home. We will definitely miss him, and wish he was home the whole time he is gone. I am just glad that we installed Skype so we can chat : )
On another note- Parker's other tooth came through as I figured it would so now he has 8 teeth- So cute!

Another one!

Parker cut another tooth! He hasn't since his 12 month checkup and I have thought that he might be teething but nothing has come through and this morning I thought I saw something so he let me stick my finger in his mouth (I have to let it be bitten though : ) Ouch! And he has another tooth along the bottom on the left (or right if you are looking at him) So yay for him! He now has 7. (he will probably get the one on the other side soon because that is how it has been for the other sets- they come in twos)

What I'd like...

I would LOVE to get some vinyl lettering for my house. I think that they can look so cool, fun and nice. These are a FEW that I really like~

ReaLITy

I just had a dose of reality when I went to church on Sunday. Parker's name was on the nursery list as being able to go 3/12 and it had all of his future little nursery classmates names. CRAZY!!!Oh, and this reminds me of a pet peeve on something that revolves around this. If someone asks me how old Parker is and I say for example- "16 months" and then they reply with- "Oh, only 2 more months until nursery, aren't you so excited" (or something along those lines) I feel like saying "NO!!! I am not looking forward to that. I don't mind being in the hall with him, I enjoy being with him." But I don't, I just smile back.

PIctTurE

About a week and a half ago we got family pictures taken at Joe's parents house. All of his brothers and sisters were there so it was a good time to get a new family picture. Joe's sister sent me a low res image of our little family. It is a really cute picture of Parker (who is looking at my sister in law- who was trying to get him to smile) But I don't really think that I look good, so... oh well, that is typically what happens when I get my picture taken.

Good Bye Car...

So we decided to sell Joe's car. It is a really fun car, but we ended up spending over 4K last year on maintenance and unforseen repairs. Too much!!! Anyway, Joe has been wanting to get a Jeep Cherokee, and so we decided to list his car on KSL, figuring that we would probably end up trading it in to a dealer. We figured that it didn't cost anything to list it, so we weren't losing anything. So we listed it on the 30th, had someone call on the 31st, they came and looked, tested it on the 1st, and on the 2nd, we went to the bank, and the car was theirs. So, currently we now have one car and we are very surprised that all of that happened, we weren't expecting it at all. So now Joe is actively looking for a new car.

Randon Pics

I got pictures off of my sister's camera and found some really cute pictures. One of which is Parker's pretend sad face. SO CUTE!! I love him in his little monkey costume, you can really tell how blue his eyes are.

Christmas Pics

A new toy to put on the fridge, it has farm animals and he loves to play with it.

Parker is playing with his new house- he liked to play peek-a-boo with my dad. He also liked slamming the door shut. As he was opening presents, he made his way to the house and crawled in through the door to the other side, my dad handed him a present, he took it, waved bye and shut the door. It was hilarious!

Joe received some cool trailer books from my parents- notice his face- he was really excited!
