Kids Say

the darndest things :)
It just amazes me how much Parker talks (and I understand) and how much HE understands-

*In the car on the way home from church

Parker- "Oh sad horses, poor horses" (we pass quite the livestock on the way home :)
Me: "Oh why?"
Parker- "Barn, no Barn- Cold Horse, so sad."
Me- "Well, the horses have hair, like a blanket, so they can stay warm" (Ironically, whenever I pass horses and it is cold outside, I think "Oh, poor horses, they must be so cold outside")
Parker- "Oh, blanket, oh, ok."

*After passing the baby cows on the way home

Parker- "Oh, cute baby cows, so cute. Where baby cows?"
Me: "I don't know, where are they?"
Parker- "Follow mommas"

*Parker is always telling me good job wether it be helping him, cleaning something, or whatever the case may be, he tells me Good Job Momma, Good Job. Or he is always telling me Thanks, or Thank you-
"Thanks helping me Momma" "Thanks Cleaning Room Momma" etc. He also told me "Awesome Momma, Awesome" when I emptied the garbages :)

*He is also so very polite. He says "Thanks" or "Thank you", "You're Welcome" (or "Welcome") "No Thank you", "Please", "Bless You" (when you sneeze) etc.

*He says "Yummy", "Yum", "Yum Yum Yum", or one of my personal favorites- "Icious" when something is especially tasty, such as bathwater, cheese sandwiches, or pancakes.

*He is VERY good at his letters, he knows each letter (for the most part- he gets "m's" and "n's" mixed up) but he knows the bigger letter, verses the little letter. He knows his numbers and loves to count.

*Thanks in part to Little Einsteins, Parker is VERY good at his instruments. He knows flutes, violins, trumpets, piccolo, drum, etc. He can pick out the different sounds of the instruments and the differences in songs.

* The other night we were watching the movie "9" and Parker was getting a little scared at what was going on, so we stopped the movie, went in his room and I asked him how he was doing. "scary momma, bird hurt people, poor people, scary bird" CRAZY! But then he wanted to keep watching it, so we just sat by him and he seemed to be fine.

*He is very sensitive, he will ask what is "wong" when he thinks there is something wrong, and is so quick to try and make you feel better.

I am truly amazed by my child- I'd like to think that I have taught him some, but I think he really just is amazing, he comprehends so much more than I think and would have thought.
