Ok, I did this list to see if I could actually come up with 100 items, I had to have some help, and some are a stretch, but some are funny, and some are just weird.
1. I am a total list maker- I love to check the boxes off of my lists that I make. Before I had Parker I had like this 4 page list of what I wanted to get done before I had Parker, and I even made it into a word doc. And printed it from the computer. The last thing on my list was to not panic… : )
2. I am terrified of dentists, dentist offices and anything to do with teeth. I seriously feel faint when I walk into the dentist office. I should go more often than I do but…
3. 1 week before I got married I went tanning (you know so you can have that super hot tan body…: ) and I got burnt… I put everything on so that I wouldn’t peel and wouldn’t you know I started to peel on my wedding day.
4. Parker was born c-section. We found out at about 35 weeks that he was breach. I tried all these things to try and get him to turn. Standing on my head, shining a light on my tummy… and yes, these suggestions were given by the doctor. Needless to say Parker didn’t turn so we had the c-section.
5. When I had Parker that was the only time to date that I have ever been to the hospital for myself, up to that point the most “doctoring” that I needed was a few stitches.
6. On the subject of stitches, I have a faint scar in the corner of my left eye from getting stitches when I was about 4. I was hit in the head by a plastic boat paddle thus causing the need for stitches. When the doctor was removing the stitches I called him a “butthead” and my mother was mortified.
7. I love to look at the Sunday ads, and the real reason that I get the Sunday paper is for the coupons, and I have great intent to use them, but for some reason the coupons usually don’t make it to the store. It’s the thought that counts- right?
8. I love to cook, but I HATE to come up with a meal on the spur of the moment.
9. I start off following the recipe that I am making but always make changes. That can make it difficult to recreate the same dish… I should write down what I do…
10. I LOVE to look at baby/ toddler clothes but no matter how good of a deal cannot bring myself to buy little girl clothes. I hate to think that I won’t have a little girl and after holding on to the cute outfits have to give them away.
11. If I had it my way I would have 3 kids- 2 boys and 1 girl (it doesn’t matter the order) However, I can go up to 4 kids if I don’t get a girl by the 3rd. However, if the 4th is a boy, I am not trying again for a girl. I did want up to 12 kids when I was younger- GLAD that has changed.
12. I am very into baby names and like good names that aren’t too old fashioned, but nothing too trendy. Also, typically I dislike weird name spellings. If I have my way with the next couple of babies we will have a Jacob Joseph, and a Joely. (not sure on the middle name yet)
13. I was in sales/ customer service for 4 years and for the last couple of years sold over 1 million dollars in product each year. The last year before Parker was born I almost hit the 1.5 million mark.
14. Yet, I hate it when sales people come to my door, I feel like I have to listen to them and then have a hard time telling them to leave. I won’t ever get anything from them, but yet I still listen. Hmm… Do those No Soliciting signs help?
15. I hate spiders, but I won’t kill them if they are outside (unless they are just too big and scary, and then they will die) but I have a rule, you come in my house, you will die, you stay outside, I won’t bother you. I would prefer not to do the killing and leave it to Joe but what scares me more than killing them is running to get Joe and coming back and they are gone.
16. I read once that a human on average will swallow 8 spiders in the sleep. This FREAKS me out and I prefer to sleep with my face in my pillow to lower the risk.
17. While I was pregnant with Parker I must have rolled over on an angry spider while I was sleeping and I was covered in little spider bites. It sucked.
18. I have a thing about seeds. I don’t like them and I can’t eat them. I wasn’t always this way, but it is like my mouth can pick them out, you can’t cover them up- I will find them. So because of that I have an especially hard time with tomatoes, and berries (any kind).
19. Bananas are HORRIBLE!! The taste, the texture, the smell. However I do like Banana cream pie as long as it is made from the banana pudding and it isn’t ruined by putting real bananas in the bottom. I was once told that there are these little bugs that lived in the tops of the bananas, I don’t believe that anymore…
20. I have naturally curly hair but you will probably rarely see it that way- that is reserved for camping where electricity is not available. If it is, I will still straighten my hair.
21. I love to camp and Joe and I recently bought a 1968 trailer to fix up. We have already camped in it and it was a lot of fun. My family loves to camp but we prefer not to have to “tent” it. My idea of camping is floating down a river or exploring and coming back and making cookies in the oven inside the trailer.
22. I am 6 years younger than Joe and we met in a singles ward. When I came home to tell my parents that I had met someone- they weren’t too excited about the age difference. Now of course they LOVE Joe.
23. I am a compulsive cleaner. I LOVE to clean and am usually found to be straightening up in my house. Before I go anywhere overnight I HAVE to get the house in pristine condition to be that way when I come home.
24. I LOVE to vacuum. I could vacuum 3 times a day, and sometimes I do. I love the way that it fluffs the carpet and the makes the vacuum lines.
25. I detest ironing. If there is any “chore” that I don’t do or when I do it, I loathe it, it would be ironing. I will scrub 10 toilets happily to not have to iron one shirt.
26. I watch my sister in law’s little girl at least 3 times a week while she works from home.
27. I love to eat steak, it is probably one of my favorite things to eat.
28. I love color- I can’t stand to have white walls in my house. Ceilings are fine to be white, but there needs to be color on the walls.
29. I started dying my hair at 16 and the first experience I had, it turned my hair BRIGHT red/ orange. Sometimes I forget how bright it went and then I go to my family’s house and watch it on video and am shocked again at the color.
30. I would love to be a great sewer, but sadly I am not. I can make simple blankets, but that it about it. When I was really little I loved to make Barbie clothes, but they didn’t look so great.
31. I LOVE cars. When I was little my parents let us go to Wal-Mart to pick out a toy and my brothers picked out these plastic cars and I got one of those little trolls with the hair that sticks straight up because they were popular, but when I got home I really didn’t want it so we went back and I picked out my own plastic car. It was a Ferrari Testarossa. As my dad says, I have known about cars since I was very little and could tell you what any car was. I got that from him : )
32. I hate Snakes! I can’t even touch a picture of them in a book. The green tree snakes are the worst by far- their mouths are pink! How unnatural is that! I can’t even think about them without getting all sshhaakkyy…..
33. Chimpanzees’ also scare me. When I was in first grade I checked out a book from the school library about chimpanzees and on the last page there was the picture of the face of a mad chimpanzee. That has seriously scarred me.
34. I love to exercise, and need to do it more often than I do, but I love to work out.
35. I love to read. I love Jane Austin; she is one of my favorite authors. Of course I also love Twilight, Little House on the Prairie and the Harry Potter series. Thanks Kristine for getting me started on Twilight!
36. I like to buy items for really good deals and then resell them on Craigslist or KSL. I have made some decent money this way.
37. I love to watch funny kids movies- like Toy Story, Ice Age, etc and cannot watch any type of movie with Zombies in them- They scare me so bad! They are so UNNATURAL!
38. I’d like to think that I am pretty computer savvy.
39. I am not a horn honker while I drive, however, I should use it more often than I do. It lets people know that they weren’t a courteous driver and you are merely pointing it out. You are being helpful : )
40. Sometimes I think that I have a big sign above my car that says “Please cut me off” because it happens ALL THE TIME!
41. I got in an accident almost 5 years ago (Friday the 13th…) and my car was totaled. But we were able to get my SUV so it was a blessing.
42. I love most types of music but I very rarely know who is actually singing the song.
43. I am allergic to cats, so I won’t ever have one.
44. I have only been snowboarding a few times and the first time it happened I sprained my wrist.
45. I LOVE to go mountain biking, but am not very good at going up hills. I prefer to be behind everyone else so I can go at my own pace and not feel like I am holding up anyone. I LOVE to go downhill, especially on my fantastic bike.
46. I have very sensitive skin and have to be very careful what types of lotions, detergents etc that I use or I can break out in a rash, yes, quite embarrassing,
47. I LOVE sour candy, but have yet to find a candy that is TOO sour. I love candy- this does not go well with # 2.
48. I graduated as a Certified Medical Assistant but made more money doing sales, so I stuck with that.
49. Needles or shots don’t bother me in the slightest.
50. When I had Parker via the c-section they nicked an artery so I bled- A LOT, so I actually had to get 2 container of blood in me to get my levels back up to normal.
51. I LOVE the rain, I love the smell of rain and the sound of it on your house and windows, but really harsh wind scares the crap out of me. I always get nervous that something is going to blow over and I will wake in the night to make sure everything is where it is supposed to be.
52. I am a fanatic about making my bed. It has to be made just right and I rarely will have someone else help me make it. I also wish Joe wouldn’t sit on the bed after it is made because it makes wrinkles that I have to smooth out. This has actually gotten much better because when I was younger I would actually wake up in the middle of the night, make my bed, turn the covers down JUST RIGHT and then go back to sleep.
53. I LOVE stuffed animals, I collect them where ever I go and have a hard time getting rid of them. When Joe and I moved I had 3 HUGE Rubbermaid containers of them
54. I like to park next to the shopping cart return when I go to the store. It makes it MUCH easier.
55. I have 2 younger brothers and 1 younger sister (she was adopted from Russia) and they are GREAT!
56. My favorite holiday is Christmas but I won’t decorate until after Thanksgiving. I wish Thanksgiving was sooner so that you could enjoy the Christmas holiday longer.
57. I don’t like water in my face. I don’t like to put my head under the water while swimming and I don’t like to get my face in the water while I shower.
58. For my wedding I wore white Globe shoes and Joe wore black ones.

59. I don’t like seafood, or fish—I have tried them, I just don’t like them. Why anyone would like oysters is beyond me, it is like eating a giant sea booger. EWH!
60. I Love Tulips! I think that they are such a pretty happy flower!
61. I was born ON my due date- My mom’s doctor didn’t think that she would have me on her due date, so he went on vacation.
62. The next few are some from my childhood~ When I was smaller I hated seeing the dried worms on the sidewalks so right after it rained I would go up and down the sidewalks and pick up the worms and put them back in the grass.
63. Also, my parents liked to think of creative ways to pay us a little as possible for chores (just kidding mom!) So, we had a lot of deer that would come into our backyard so they would pay us one penny per poop that we picked up. I am not sure exactly how it was counted. In the summer they would pay us one penny per weed that we picked up, but it had to have the roots, leaves only didn’t count.
64. I had a first year cabbage patch doll named Carissa Courtney.
65. I am notorious for sleeping in really weird and rather uncomfortable looking positions. Parker has seemed to inherit this from me.
66. I went to see U2 for my 18th birthday with my dad.
67. Looking back at # 35 -for a stage in my life I liked to dress like Laura Ingalls Wilder, so I wore a lot of dress, but more pioneer looking dresses.
68. My siblings and I loved to play “restaurant” when we were little and would create a menu and restaurant for my parent to eat at for dinner. It would be all romantic for them and I would make the food and my brother would be the waiter.
69. I always am running my foot/ toes into the wall. Sometimes I feel like it would be so much easier to not have toes, but then our feet would look even funnier.
70. I was homeschooled towards the end of 2nd grade, but started going to private school in 9th grade.
71. While I was in private school we took a school trip to Mexico to see the ruins down in Mexico City, The pyramids at Teotihuacan, Oaxaca, Puebla, and Acapulco.
72. I went parasailing in the bay in Acapulco and I was supposed to land on this tiny little floating dock, needless to say I didn’t and the little parasailing helpers had to come and rescue me- Fantastic…
73. While in Mexico I ate Pata. We decided to eat at an authentic restaurant and they only spoke Spanish, and we really didn’t and we saw tostadas on the list and the options were Pollo y Pata. So we knew Chicken or … Pata. The waiter gestured Toro, so we thought beef. We ordered that and there was no visible beef anything on the tostada, only this other thing that looked kind of like thin potatoes. We were all eating til I looked down and saw this “potato” thing have what looked like..eyelashes? So it turns out Pata is actually cows foot. Yum! I l didn’t eat for 24 hours, and lost weight on the trip.
74. I love to play games with my family. Apples to Apples, Scattagories, Cranium, etc. Joe doesn’t.
75. During the summer we love to play outdoor games like relay races, bad mitten, and dodge ball.
76. My family took a trip to Nauvoo when I was about 13 and I was scared by frog falling from the door frame of the outhouse.
77. I could be VERY dramatic when I was younger (it has toned down some) and am often embarrassed when I read my past journal entries.
78. I actually didn’t date much; I only had 2 actual boyfriends.
79. Up until about a little over a year ago, I didn’t even know what a blog was.
80. As I said, I love music but DON’T sing. I will sing in my car, when the music is louder than I sing, but that is about it.
81. I am not very fantastic with grammar, but cringe when I see the obviously errors such as there when it should be their, and to when it should be too….. the list goes on.
82. You will probably not ever see me without makeup on. I don’t put a lot on; I just won’t leave until it is done.
83. It doesn’t matter how early we have to get up, or leave, I will do my hair before I go- It may end up in a ponytail by the time I get in the car, but it was done.
84. I wear holes in the left knee of my jeans. I don’t know why, maybe that knee is especially bony?
85. My house actually now has pictures hanging up on the wall. We have now lived in our house for 4 ½ years.
86. I LOVE other people’s home decor, I just can’t figure out how to decorate mine.
87. I have to be on time, it frustrates me when people are not prompt. I have had to be somewhat flexible with this since having Parker, but I’d like to think I am still really good at it.
88. Because of # 87 I have set all the clocks in my house and watches to be 10 minutes fast. This helps.
89. My life typically revolves around my family and I am COMPLETELY fine with that!
90. I love soft cookies; I don’t like crunchy or hard cookies. I don't like milk so I don't dunk cookies.
91. I love fresh mushrooms and don’t consider the canned mushrooms to even be related- they are FAKE!
92. I should wear glasses, but I usually don’t. I am near sighted in one eye and far sighted in the other.
93. I am impressed that I could come up with this many things so far.
94. I love to take hot baths, but hate the humidity that the heat causes.
95. When I was about 3 and my family went to the Hogle Zoo, I was licked over my head by a giraffe. Giraffes are one of my favorite animals.
96. I climbed Mt Timpanogos for the FIRST time this year, caring Parker in the front carrier the whole way up and down. Note to self- Don’t gain 20 pounds : )
97. My hubby and I got stranded on Utah Lake with one of our friends. We had never been and the little boat ran out of gas. We had to be rescued by Utah Lake coast guard.
98. I have lived in Utah County my whole life and wouldn’t want to live anywhere else.
99. If I could travel to anywhere it would be Italy and I would want to visit everywhere there.
100. My family is the most important blessing that I have. I feel that Joe is definitely my best friend, and we could not imagine our lives without Parker. Marrying Joe was the best decision I ever made!

that was fun to read, i want to do it but dont think i could think of that many things...your wedding shoes was funny and that pata was soooo sooo gross...thanks for sharing!
Loved your list! My parents ALSO used to pay us a penny/weed AND I remember "saving" the worms with my friend after it rained...although I'm pretty sure we would get them out of the street and put them IN the puddles - not sure we really helped, but we thought we were :)
Wow! 100 things. That's alot. I've seen quite a few different people do this, but I don't want to read them unless I know the person well. These were great. I don't know if I can come up with a hundred things. How long did this take you?
I created this as a word doc first, so I could add as I thought of things, I asked my mom for some ideas, so it took about 3 days.
