Yay for Spring!

Let's hope it continues~ Parker LOVES being outside- he loves to run on the sidewalks, and color with the sidewalk chalk, he HATES it when we have to bring him inside, and I don't blame him. The weather the last few days has been GREAT! Here are a couple pics from our outing yesterday (the driveway) and when I have time to upload the rest into a slideshow, I will post that : )

So Ready For Spring!

So, sorry all, but no pics in this post~ This is merely to let you know that I am SO done with winter, cold, snow, etc and that I am ready for Spring. The weather has been quite nice the past few days, so in honor of the Spring, I have a nice "springy" background. I am ready to work in the yard, plant a garden, not freeze when I go outside...the list goes on and on of why I am so DONE with the cold. I figure that in reality, I am done with winter once Christmas is over, so after we have the nice white Christmas, Spring can begin : )

PaRkEr'S nEw BeD

Now, I am not certain that Parker is going to sleep in his new bed from here on out, but last night he did sleep in his bed the WHOLE night- which is quite unusual for right now since his molars are coming in and he has been more restless when he sleeps. So, that is quite amazing, but I am kinda thinking it was a fluke, so we shall see. But, Joe got the bed for Parker, he found it at DI's for - get this- $20.00- CRAZY! Brand new it is at LEAST $150- it was in really great shape, just needed a little cleaning, but nothing too terrible- Parker was quite thrilled with it and kept saying "car, car.." So anyway, here are a couple of pics.

18 MoNtH ChEcKuP!

So, we had Parker's 18 month checkup today- and here are the stats-

Length- 34.25" - 93.69 percentile

Weight- 25.35 lbs- up to 43.29 percentile (highest percentile here EVER)

Head- 19.2" 77.34 percentile

Other than that, the checkup went well, Parker is doing everything that he should be doing and more. He doesn't talk much, but he has his own means of communicating, and he can certainly understand more than we realize- we are starting to say- Let's get the B-O-T-T-L-E so he doesn't know what we are saying : ) He screamed a lot during the checkup- he did not want to be weighed, measured, checked, touched, looked at... So it was pretty rough for him. As soon as his clothes were back on he was completely fine and waved bye to the doctor... Funny Kid!

UpDaTe

So, not much going on here- Our internet wasn't working for a couple of days, so that was not fun. Other than that, we are really looking forward to Spring, SO done with the snow and cold. We can't wait to work in the yard, plant our garden, make the yard look pretty, go outside without freezing, the list goes on. Parker hasn't been sleeping too well lately- I think it is because his molars in the back are coming it. He has a total of 10 teeth so far. Sometimes I wish they would just all come in at once so that it would be over and done. We got Parker a new booster seat for the table so that he can sit with us. He sat with us last night and really seemed to enjoy being with us (not that he wasn't with us before, he just likes being a "big boy". He is so sweet and likes to show his muscles- HILARIOUS! He loves to fold his arms during prayers and is doing better at keeping his arms folded the whole time. : ) Parker had been sick a week or so back and I found the pics of him- he looks so miserable- SO SAD!! We have his 18 month checkup tomorrow so we will have to see how he is progressing. I think other than "talking" he seems to be doing fantastic, so I will have the updates tomorrow.

Phone

So I think that most parents have similar pictures, so I figured it is time to share some of Parker- note to self- once he reaches that teenage age, get unlimited texting- this kid will be good! The phone that is an actual cell phone is Joe's old one- Parker loves it! One of the pics is a little blurry (where Parker is laying on the couch) but it was TOO cute!

My Name is Mom...

Not mommy, mama, mamama, etc- just mom. (sometimes it is said like Mam) but very simply put Mom- it is so fun to hear Parker distinctly call out my name and let me know that he needs me.
